The $450,000 that was taken from DeFi protocol Curve.Finance earlier this week has been frozen or recovered, according to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao "CZ," who made the announcement on Friday.
After hackers stole roughly $570,000 from Curve.Finance on Tuesday, the protocol's creators claimed to have found and remedied the problem.
Due to the fact that multiple other protocols rely on Curve.Finance's CRV token rewards emissions for funding, the company is a significant actor in the DeFi ecosystem.
According to CZ's tweet, the exchange is currently collaborating with legal enforcement to restore cash to harmed individuals.
Binance froze/recovered $450k of the Curve stolen funds, representing 83%+ of the hack. We are working with LE to return the funds to the users. The hacker kept on sending the funds to Binance in different ways, thinking we can't catch it. 😂#SAFU https://t.co/Ekea9moeAw
