Affiliate Hacks that are untraceable Qiwi is a Russian payment system

Hackers from Network Battalion 65 (NB65), a decentralized hacktivist collective related to Anonymous, stated in a recent tweet that they had hacked Qiwi, a significant payment and financial services provider in the Russian Federation and other post-Soviet countries.

According to a message sent on Twitter by the @xxNB65 account, the group, which comprises the Qiwi payment system, Qiwi Bank, the Contact money transfer system, and other platforms, also offers Russia's most extensively used payment app, which is why it was attacked.

The attack's alleged perpetrators claim to have used a ransomware kit to encrypt Qiwi's networks. NB65 also claims to have the credit card information of 12.5 million of the firm's customers, as well as 30 million payment records.

"After your 3-day contract time has expired, we will release 1 million records each day." If you want your firm to survive, you should probably contact us as soon as possible," the hackers said, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin is to responsible for the crisis.

In late February, Moscow started a military campaign on Ukraine's neighbor, and Anonymous pledged to impair Russia's online space in retaliation. Since then, the gang has attacked the Kremlin, the State Duma, and the Defense Ministry's websites, as well as Russian TV outlets and released millions of emails. The collective announced in March that it had published 28GB of Bank of Russia documents.

According to the writers of the NB65 tweet, Qiwi stated in a recent press release that sanctions aimed at Russia's financial system had had no impact on its operations. Following the announcement of the Anonymous attack, Qiwi was quoted by Tass as saying that its payment systems are up and running, and that its clients' personal information is secure.
